"Is There a Connection Between Abortion Policy and the American Workforce Shortage?"

Recently Chuck Schumer gave a speech about America and the worker shortage in this country. This is what he said,

“Now, more than ever, we’re short of workers. We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to. The only way we’re going to have a great future in America is if we welcome and embrace immigrants, the dreamers, and all of them; cause our ultimate goal is to help the dreamers, but get a path to citizenship for all 11 million or however many undocumented there are”… (the people cheer and clap).

I want you to concentrate on the words, “We have a population that is not reproducing on its own with the same level that it used to.”

So, how bad is the worker shortage? Stephanie Ferguson with The United States Chamber of Commerce, recently wrote the following:

“We hear every day from our member companies—of every size and industry, across nearly every state—that they’re facing unprecedented challenges trying to find enough workers to fill open jobs. Right now, the latest data shows that we have 8.5 million job openings in the U.S. but only 6.5 million unemployed workers.”

Let’s do a little calculation:

      8,500,000

    - 6,500,000

      2,000,000

So simple math indicates that if every one of the 6.5 million unemployed were working, there would still be 2 million available jobs.

Let’s do another simple calculation. Do you know how many abortions there have been in America, since 1973 (Roe v. Wade)? 63,459,781!

    63,459,781(Number of abortions)

  -  8,500,000 (Number of jobs)

54,959,781 (Extra people we would have in American if they had been allowed to live)

Did you know that Chuck Schumer has been a great promoter of abortion over his lifetime? Listen to what he said recently, in response to the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

"Today is one of the darkest days our country has ever seen. Millions upon millions of American women are having their rights taken from them by five unelected Justices on the extremist MAGA court.

These justices, appointed by Republicans and presiding without any accountability, have stolen a fundamental right to have an abortion away from American women in this country. These justices were intentionally appointed by Republicans to overturn Roe v. Wade and every Republican Senator knew this would happen if they voted to confirm these radical justices. These MAGA Republicans are all complicit in today's decision and all of its consequences for women and families in this country.

"Today's decision makes crystal clear the contrast as we approach the November elections: elect more MAGA Republicans if you want nationwide abortion bans, the jailing of women and doctors and no exemptions for rape or incest. Or, elect more pro-choice Democrats to save Roe and protect a woman's right to make their own decisions about their body, not politicians."

I know what I write next may seem like a low level understanding, but isn’t this exactly where we are as nation? Suppose every baby that has been killed by abortion, would have been allowed to be born. In that case, there would be plenty of American workers to fill all the jobs available. With 63 million more people, there would probably be some people in that group who could do amazing things…including creating more jobs, which would increase tax revenue.  What do you think? Do you see how remarkably clueless Chuck Schumer’s statement is?

A baby in the womb is not an “it” or a “thing” that can be removed like a tumor and destroyed. This is a person made in the image of God. And the Bible doesn’t distinguish between prenatal and postnatal life. Look at Jeremiah 1:5

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”

Jeremiah was a prophet and God told him that before he was born he was set apart for that special purpose.

America needs to repent, nationally, of this great evil of abortion!
